Dali, Yunnan (大理市) sits on the intersections of the Silk Road that connected Southeast Asia and the Tibetan Plateau with China. Located on the foothills of the Himalayas, an artist-in-residence program was formed to bring international artists to participate in collaborating with local artists and creative industries.

Nexus is a project curated to research intersections and connections by 4 artists. With diverse practices between artists, each artist focuses through thoughts on infrastructure, community, collaboration, and reflection.

 

Public programming, workshops, round table talks, art market, and publications were produced with an exhibition at the Dali Contemporary Art Center.
